Down in the lower part of our woodland we can see that the sap is rising and the leaf buds are opening on the trees = the Earth's Energy Field is up transforming the woodlands. Now that the trees are opening their leaves and creating the green canopy we are preparing special seated places in the woodland for you to Detox your Subtle Energy Body (Aura) by merging / meditating with the energy of the trees. Each tree has a big Aura that is bigger than the human Aura and by relaxing our mind and body we can connect. This is how you recharge your inner battery as you align with the Earth energy flow within trees. Get rid of those winter cobwebs as you sit in the positive energetic breeze that’s created by the energy fields of the trees.

This new activity (private, safe and secure) is not open here just yet but it will be open soon. This is for over 18’s only and no pets are allowed. Beltane 2026 is on Friday 17th of April at 21:42 when the the Eye of the Bull (Tarbh/Taurus) becomes a daytime star in the twilight sky.

This event is only for a few minutes and begins after the Sun has set but the sky is still bright and we move deeper into twilight . This is the liminal space between day and night. For our ancestors the cycle of time began at Sunset and this star appearing in daylight just before darkness was a very special event. The star is called Aldebaran and it is one of four bright stars in the belt of the zodiac, it is known as the Eye of the Bull! The other 3 bright stars in the zodiac are linked to Imbolg, Lughnasa and Samhain.
This unique timing event is what our ancestors saw as they watched the night sky - a very magical experience if you get to see it. To keep your focus in the correct direction set your compass to 273* Azimuth. Look down the sight line and you’ll see Venus shining - always recall - “Stars Twinkle and Planets Shine” so you will know which one is Venus and which one is the Eye of the Bull. Without a compass just look due west at 20:14 where the Sun went down into the other world - mark that location on the horizon (pick a tree or hill top) and wait until 21:42.... Starting at the gate we have created a new flower bed to sit underneath and compliment this amazing triangular rock. Who knew it but this stunning creation was lying asleep for years in the corner of the field until con spotted it and enlisted the help of a neighbour to stand it upright and proudly mark out the entrance to Celtic Druid Temple.

Called slash by some but to us this is the makings of woodchips for the pathways inside the polyhouse and in the nursery. Even the chickens get a layer of this wonderful abundance in their big run. Inside the roundhouse, our wooden temple, we have already given a dressing of woodchips which brighten up the place and look great too.

The chickens got a day out in the Sun!

This used to be the compost bay, the chickens have that job now so this portion of the garden is being remodeled.

Its been a great year for Daffodils, the one on the left is a heirloom variety that now grows wild on our farm. The irish for daffodil is Lus an chromchinn which literally means:

Lus: Plant or herb.
An: The.
Chromchinn: Genitive form of cromcheann (bent/bowed head), derived from crom (bent/bowed) and ceann (head).

And the Polyhouse (its not a tunnel) which we built ourselves from the frame of our wedding Marquee is ready to shelter and encourage the growth of soft fruit, herbs, flowers and veg for the season ahead. Full Moon rising on Thursday the 2nd of April as seen as if you were on Tara in Co. Meath. The Moon rises in front of Spica, the brightest star in Virgo at about 20 past 9. Because the Moon moves faster than the stars from where we see them the Moon and Spica will separate. But botht he Moon and Spica follow Crom and Cú as they go through the night sky. An amazing view of the clouds allow. The ceremony starts at 8pm but the Moon arrives a bit 'late'. And in the West we get to see Dagda standing proud in the night sky.

The Full Moon rises underneath the constellation know as Leo which we call Cú with Crom also on the horizon. This is the eclipse following the Sun Moon Earth eclipse of early February and it shows the Sun the Earth and then the Moon. Visible in East in parts of Europe, Asia, Australia, North America, South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arctic, Antarctica but not from Ireland.

]]><![CDATA[Earrach 2026 Spring Equinox 17th of March]]>Sun, 01 Mar 2026 14:02:45 GMThttps://www.celticdruidtemple.com/blog/earrach-2026-spring-equinox-17th-of-marchThis year 2026 the Spring Equinox Earrach occurs on the 17th of March with a day length of 11h:57m:51s. This is the time of Crom being fully displayed due South at true midnight 00h:33m. The lower part of the tail where the birth organs of all reptiles is located blesses the Earth with fertility. We can think of this as Crom lays the egg that we get to harvest at the Autumn Equinox Fómhar.

This time of year we see Crom leaping from the Sea and flying in the Sky over the Land. Crom is the longest of all the star groups but most of the stars that make up Crom are faint so a good vantage point with low light pollution is needed to see the fullness of Crom. Crom is underneath Cancer, Leo Virgo and Libra.

Our Temple in Co. Roscommon is dedicated to Crom and the door opens to the East to welcome the Equinox Sunrise. This Temple has just had an internal refit thanks to the kind and generous donations of our members and we will celebrate a legally recognised wedding here on the 2nd of March 2026. We hope to commission a short video sharing the refit, the new flooring, the new banners, and the three new tapestries.

On the night of the Full Moon on Tara at 8pm rising in the east we can see Cú and Crom following the Full Moon as it rises to its zenith. You could say the Full Moon is chasing Jupiter because both are shining bright like they want to be seen...but if you look a bit further to the South you'll see Betelgeuse as the bright star on the shoulder of Dagda and underneath Dagda - the three stars of his belt point us towards Sirius, the Dog star. Lets hope for a night with no clouds. Blessing to everybody on this Full Moon night.
