Celtic Druid Alliance
The Celtic Path to the Primordial Tradition
A Celtic Community is based on loyalty, family, love and respect for traditional ideas, ideologies,
mythology, customs and ritual ceremony. Within this Celtic Community the arts, farming, forestry
and spirituality all form ‘activity spheres’ that interact and overlap supporting natural organic
growth through dynamic balance. By consciously merging spirituality with our indigenous culture
we multiply it and generate new expressions of the ‘ancestral group spirit’ helping others to first
find and then secure their own Path.
The Celtic Path to the Primordial Tradition exists with every choice to take another step. As we
progress along our Path gaining awareness of the ancestors combined with appreciation and
respect for traditional ideas, ideologies, mythology, customs and rituals we can improve or better
ourselves and generate positive action within society. Each region / nation has its own unique
expressions that must be honoured by all and no attempt to merge them into one new tradition
should be considered. On the contrary, we must celebrate with the people and the traditions of the
land we are in at any given time, creating a greater understanding that everyone has their own
unique Path and that ultimately we are all from and going to the Source of Uncreated Light.
We are in an age in which many of us are rediscovering the old gods and are reawakening to our
heritage and the immense importance of our Celtic Traditions. It is only when we are free that we
can see exactly how others are enslaved, how their inner Light is kept dull with the effect that
many actually sleep through an entire incarnation. But as and when the glimmer of Light within
begins to glow because of choices made with a free mind and a seeker emerges, it is then that
the relevance of an indigenous path to the Source has great value. As the seeker progresses
along his/her native path, there will be a resonance, a familiarity, a connection to ancestors and
guardians of the ancient temples that will feed the spirit. There is great responsibility on the Elders
as Guardians to hold high wisdom forged through merging true knowledge with personal
experience to enlighten seekers, to be the Light Bearers and guides for those seekers who yearn
for the liberation of their human consciousness. This then is the Primordial Tradition - living life
with the wisdom of high awareness, with a strong connection to Nature, to the ancestors and to
true time.
Embracing The Primordial Tradition
The Primordial Tradition has its expression in a clear practice of spirituality that has echoes
throughout all eternity for all peoples. This Tradition is reflected by and included in the fabric of
creation since the first night. In its conception: this practice assumes the existence of a Primal
Source of Uncreated Light. The original reflection of this Uncreated Light is the great mystery of
the Universal Spirit, which is unique and at the same time highly complex. It urges us feel Love, to
seek wisdom and continue with the pilgrimage intention of others that have enjoyed individual
experiences of this emanated Light.
From this understanding we have recognition of Traditional Lineages for each individual culture.
The Celtic Druid Alliance seeks continued connection to and integration with our own Celtic
ancestral appreciation of the Primordial Tradition. Always seeking a harmonic balance we must
search for Truth by the natural light of reason while also observing the uncreated Light of the
Universal Spirit. This search for Truth while honouring Spirit is further supported by regular
liturgical practices and the establishment of local gatherings that by design integrate natural
awareness, therapeutic healing, connection to true time and to Nature. This happens because
Truth and Spirit are active participants in the universal cosmic intelligence.
It should be understood that we do not suggest that living people should ‘go’ to this Uncreated
Light which is sealed to human reason, instead we should seek to be a channel or means of
expression for its manifested uncreated latency here and now, through another light, Nwyer or
Imbass. This is the subtle energy of life that guides us from the first night of the times. Because of
our unique experiences as individuals, we know that we are all multiple reflections of the
Uncreated Light in the constant human search for understanding and expression of the
"Metaphysics of Light", which is the true practice of Primordial Tradition. This understanding lays
the foundation for the principles of the Celtic Druid Alliance.
The three Guardians of the Primordial Tradition are responsible as Light Bearers to be guides for
the liberation of human consciousness. This is realised by the pursuit of pure feeling with
connection to the ideal unity of Cosmic Consciousness and its transcendent presence: The
Uncreated. Our hearts should hold Love and express kindness and our eyes should focus on
intuition and understanding of the laws emanated while the main principles of the Primordial
Tradition should be our guides. These mysteries are unveiled when we reach a deep intuitional
appreciation of the way of Spirituality through understanding true time, the law of cause / effect,
the Good, True and Beautiful and by natural harmonics: their opposites. In this sense, the Celtic
Druid Alliance is a platform for compliance with the Primordial Tradition. It is founded on
integrating the true principles of Love and Light and is open to include all beings and ritual
gatherings that truly aspire to connection with a Celtic appreciation of the Primordial Tradition.
