How to get to the Celtic Druid Temple
Celtic Druid Temple is on a small farm 7km west of Castlerea in north Co Roscommon and there are 4 approach routes
1) From Castlerea to Williamstown on the R361. In Castlerea you turn left to pass Lidl and after you cross over a railway bridge take the third right turn L6540. This is just after a big stone faced house with a big blue shed, both are well back off the main road. When you take the third right turn you are now on narrow one-lane road. Take the first left turn. Keep going until you see a cross roads with our home on your left – you’ll see the wind turbine.
2) From Castlerea to Ballinlough / Ballyhaunis on the N60. In Castlerea you ignore the turn at Lidl and carry on straight ahead for Ballyhaunis. After you go under a railway bridge you take the fourth left turn. You are now on narrow one-lane road. Take the first right turn. Then take the next right turn. Keep going until you see a cross roads with our home straight ahead – you’ll see the wind turbine.
3) From (Galway) Ballymoe / Williamstown to Castlerea on the R361. From Galway to Roscommon Town to Ballymoe you are on the N60. From Williamstown to Ballymoe you are on the R360. From Ballymoe you take the N60 to Castlerea but you take the first turn left. Stay on this bumpy road until you come to a major T-junction and you go right towards Castlerea on the R361. You take the second left L1608. You are now on a narrow one-lane road. Take the first right turn. Keep going until you see a cross roads with our home on your right – you’ll see the wind turbine.
4) From (Mayo) Ballyhaunis / Ballinlough to Castlerea on the N60. Ballinlough is a small village on the N60. You take the right turn to Trien. Take the first left turn. You are now on a narrow one-lane road. Keep going until you see a cross roads with our home on your right – you’ll see the wind turbine.
