Celtic Pagan Pilgrimage to Crom
Plan for the day:
Arrive at Temple Crom Roscommon at 9am, depart by 9.30am. Start Hike to Crom at 11am. Midday ceremony. Hike back down. Eat lunch and return to Temple Crom Roscommon for 5pm. Tea and scones with Pilgrims who stayed at Temple Crom. Event finished at 5.30pm What to Bring Bring a packed lunch, adequate water for the day and an energy snack. Wear sturdy footwear, and bring a full set of rain gear, coat and change of clothes----prepare for all seasons in one day :) Reasonable level of fitness required for this hike. For those staying at the Temple Arrive at 9am, guided tour and introductory talk 9.30am-11.30am. Midday ceremony. Lunch. Free time to explore the Temple and find a tranquil spot to meditate. 5pm Welcome home the Pilgrims from Croagh Crom, share tea and scones before departure at 5.30pm. Bring a packed lunch, and adequate water for the day. Rain gear and wellington boots. |
Join us on a one day pilgrimage to Croagh Crom, Ireland's Holy mountain aka The Reek in a celebration of the Summer Solstice - Féile Crom (Festival of Crom) will be a very special experience for all who attend. This Celtic Pagan event will be an empowering connection for all Pilgrims who honour the most ancient Gods of this land. Arriving at Celtic Druid Temple at 9am on the morning of the Solstice. There will be the option to travel by bus to Croagh Crom and hike the southern slope with Niamh and the Druí from the Celtic Druid Temple and to join in our midday ceremony on the southern slope of Ireland's Holy Mountain. Or you can stay and celebrate the Solstice at midday ceremony here at the Temple. |
