Tigín na Druí, Little House of the Druids, a place of sacred space to share with members, students and guests. Tigín na Druí will be a place for apprentice Druid's to stay for three months of the year, handfasted couples may enjoy a special night here, and we also hope to make it available for certain nights throughout the year through Airb+b for those in need of a retreat to simple living.
We seek donations from well wishers to assist us with this rebuild. Our thanks go to those who have already sent cash donations and have volunteered their labour.

When we moved here first this building was an old cow barn, tin on the roof and walls about to fall. Everyone told us to knock it down. It is over 250 years old and built from stones gathered from the land here. So much effort went into it's original construction that we thought it worthwhile to restore. Granted it was designed for a different type of residents so we've had to make some changes and additions to bring it up to modern human comfort. Our fundraising target for the next stage is €5000, this will insulate the walls with hemp, fit and varnish wooden floorboards for the ground floor and half upstairs, and give a nice ceiling with a varnished wood finish and install a proper door and windows. We have a wood stove and flue too that gets fitted next ie before the hemp plastering weekend. With your help we can get a lot done in a few weeks...

Join a workshop
Hemp and Lime Putty Plastering Workshop
Date:19th+20th August 2017 Time: Start 10am on the 19th Finish 5pm on the 20th Venue: Celtic Druid Temple Cost: €100 per person, 4 places available All food, accommodation and tuition included. On this weekend you will gain technical understanding and practical skills in applying hemp and lime putty on an old stone building.
