If you are on Tallaght Hill for the Sunrise tomorrow, you will see the Sun rise over a dormant volcano called Lambay Island. For the shortest day - the Sun will rise over the same dormant volcano called Lambay Island and this is seen from Newgrange! On the 20th the daylength is 17h00m09s, on the 21st it is 17h00m13s and on the 22nd it is 17h00m10s and this means that the 21st is the longest day by a mere 3 or 4 seconds longer than the day before / after! This graphic was created based on info from https://www.timeanddate.com - use it and adjust it to your location to connect with true time. Where to look on the horizon for the rising Sun, setting Sun and how to be sure you connect with true time by watching your shadow point due north at high noon - source https://www.suncalc.org you can set this to your location but it is pretty much the same for everywhere in Ireland. From Tara with the Sun glare removed - you cannot see the stars and planets as the Sun rises but it helps to know where they are... High Noon is at nearly 1:30pm... the graphic has had the glare of the Sun removed so you can see and connect with the combined incoming energies. Never look at the Sun. At close of day and entry into night... It does not get fully dark at the longest day as the dusk and dawn twilights meet! Our ancestors measured new days begining at the setting of the Sun. The great magic of knowing where to look and which god to call on really works if you are in the right place at the correct time and you are calling on connection with the intended hero / god / goddess. Aonbharr is the White Mare of Manannan that can run on water and on land and brings Oisin and Niamh to and from Tir na nÓg - just say her name 'Aonbharr Abú'
