The Land of Rock Giants and Tiny Trees at the Burren

This place is simply amazing. The feel of this rocky plateau is so different to anything I've experienced. On a drive along Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way heading for Lahinch I spotted a little pathway heading up some cliffs and noted it for the return journey. It's Burren country.

On the way back we stopped at the little spot and I climbed up the path whilst Con explored the cliff line, just North of the Cliffs of Moher.
There's no amount of adjectives sufficient to describe what I felt. I was in a completely foreign (to me) landscape- I felt unprepared for it and  decided not to venture too far. The rocks are huge rising into giant boulders or spreading flat across crevices. sure footing and a knowledge of place is essential.
Inside these crevices trees were growing along with tiny beautiful wildflowers.

I stopped to perform the Triple Blessings, energetically I could sense that I had actually stopped on a busy rock where many people had been before-probably like me deciding not to venture any further! The sense of place insisted on slowing down and devoting time to getting to know it.

After finishing my meditation with love and gratitude, I slowly picked my path back down and headed for the cliffs. Wow, I'll let the pictures talk for themselves.

I love heights, so I found a safe place to lie down and stick my head over the edge! Raw footage below from my little camera accompanied by wind and wave noises. I was transfixed watching the waves spiraling over the rocks below....enjoying that moment, that edge that makes me feel extra alive!
